Leah Hong

Leah Hong (she/her) is a diasporic creative working at the intersection of narrative change and social justice. She brings over a decade of experience driving progressive social change within the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors. She currently serves as Program Officer for Transformational Leadership at Angell Foundation based in Los Angeles. As a former youth worker, Leah strives to embed a trust-based framework within her philanthropic practice to mitigate the power differentials between funders and nonprofits. She is a past Fellow of New Leaders Council and the Community Leadership and Social Change Fellowship at Institute for Nonprofit Practice, and currently serves on the Steering Committee for AAPIP-LA and the Program and Production Committees for GYOPO. She holds a BA in Creative Nonfiction Writing from The New School in New York City, and an MSW from Boston University School of Social Work.
