March 2018

Spring Update

Join Christine Ahn for a Global Call for Peace: With Bernie Sanders and others this Sunday, March 18, 2018. Organized by MoveOn and Win Without War, the live video call will gather thousands worldwide to mark the 15th anniversary of the U.S. war on Iraq, address breaking news on North Korea, and discuss how we can tip the balance towards peace. Reserve your limited spot here: https://www.crowdcast.io/e/global-call-for-peace

On March 13th, Women Cross DMZ co-hosted a panel with our sister organizations in New York City at the U.N. Commission on the Status of Women conference on “Women Halting U.S. War on North Korea: The Promise of Feminist Foreign Policy.” The room was packed with standing room only as the audience of over 200 people heard from feminist peacemakers from South Korea, Japan, Canada, and the United States on how women’s peace movements are intervening in war plans and supporting the peace processes underway in Korea. More than 500 joined us live on our Facebook stream. The video of the panel is now available on Youtube.

Thanks to all of our friends, our March 9, 2018 Spring Benefitsold out! Gloria Steinem, Christine Ahn, Anne Delaney and several performers fired up and inspired the crowd, and we raised over $20,000 towards making our upcoming May plans come true!

Our work is possible only because there is a strong movement of individuals like you who continue to believe in us. Help support this important movement by making a contribution.
Your support is needed now more than ever.

With deep gratitude,

Women Cross DMZ
