Resources and Actions on “Grassroots Feminist Visions: A Way Forward From the War on Terror”

September 30, 2021

Posted in: Newsletters

Dear {{ FirstName | default: “Friend” }},

Thank you for your interest in our event, Grassroots Feminist Visions: A Way Forward from the War on Terror. This gathering, hosted by the Feminist Peace Initiative, brought together critical voices from communities most impacted by the “War on Terror,” speaking out on the need to transform U.S. foreign policy. Once again, we thank all of our audience members for joining, and our speakers: Yanar Mohammed, Hoda Katebi, Spojmie Nasiri, Christine Ahn, and Brittany Ramos DeBarros!

We invite you to continue engaging with our Feminist Peace Initiative, and here are four ways you can do so:

  1. Watch and share our video recordings and images of the event. We have made the videos available in multiple languages: English, Spanish, Arabic, and Korean.

  2. Sign our Open Letter to President Biden — it only takes a minute! This Open Letter to Biden demands a complete end to the War on Terror, reparations to the people and countries that have been devastated by U.S. wars, and democratization of U.S. foreign policy. Click here to add your name and organization.

  3. Tell us what you think about our Sep. 21 event. Take this brief survey to share your feedback. We appreciate your input!

  4. Register and spread the word about our next event. We’ll discuss how a just transition to a regenerative economy must end wars, militarism, and the violence of militarized forces and police in our communities and across the world. Join us for a virtual town hall on Nov. 11 as we hear testimonies from communities advancing climate justice and resisting militarism. Click here to register.

Thank you again,

The Feminist Peace Initiative
