Ann is a retired US Army Reserve Colonel and a former US diplomat who resigned in 2003 in opposition to the US war on Iraq. She has a Masters degree in Educational Administration and a Law degree from the University of Arkansas and a Masters Degree in National Security Studies from the U.S. Naval War College. She is on the advisory boards of Veterans For Peace, CODEPINK: Women for Peace, the International Peace Bureau and the steering committee of the Gaza Freedom Flotilla. She writes on the effects of U.S. militarism worldwide. She co-authored “Dissent: Voices of Conscience.” She was on the 2015 trip to North Korea and South Korea with Women Cross DMZ.
